The three Manors illustrated are a cross section of 34 historic manors on the island. CAP were commissioned to undertake their first comprehensive heritage protection assessment and appraisal. Archival research, detailed inspection, mapping and record photography was carried out to form the baseline for understanding the historical, architectural and archaeological significance of each manor, for statutory protection as Sites of Special Interest.
